October 3–9, 2021 is Make-a-Will Week in BC, and it’s a friendly reminder for all of us to ensure our affairs are in order.
Did you know that more than half of British Columbians do not have a signed, legally valid and up-to-date will? Although the belief exists that you only need a will if you have significant wealth or dependents you need to provide for, the reality is that EVERYONE should have a will.
This is especially true for those with blended families, business interests, and other circumstances that can be challenging to navigate without pre-planning and professional advice.
Not only can a will ensure that your wishes are put into effect, it also makes the process of administering your estate easier (and generally less expensive) on those you leave behind.
Whether you need to create your first will, or revisit your existing one, we are here to help. Call or email us today for more information!
